The Gingerbread House, built in 1899, is an excellent example of Steamboat Gothic architecture. It is known for the gingerbread arches that are featured predominantly on the exterior of the building. Today, The Gingerbread House is one of Savannah’s leading event venues and is the site of countless romantic weddings, anniversary parties and other festivities.
