Hi, I’m Laurie, Master Baker and Cake Designer of Abbie’s Bakery.  I have decorated numerous birthday cakes, baby and bridal shower cakes, anniversary cakes, and many special occasion cakes for over 30 years. As the occasional caterer, I have done up to 4 wedding cakes/year for these past 20 years, advertising only by word of mouth referrals. When Brides and Grooms come to see me for their cake consultation, they browse through my photos, get ideas from wedding books and magazines, and look for other ideas they like. Then, I use their ideas of colors, themes, and preferences to help them custom-design their wedding cake. I believe that your wedding cake should TASTE as good as it LOOKS! Our cakes are baked on-site; we do not order them from wholesale bakeries like many grocery stores do. Our cakes are moist, scrumptious, freshly-baked, and never frozen. Exemplary wedding cakes are works of art &color-matching, science &math, engineering &construction, floral arranging, and decorating skill. I combine all of these elements to create a unique cake that fits the couple’s desires.
