We’re happy to announce a new series we’ll be doing on our blog, going a little behind the scenes of our exhibitors and sponsors so you can get to know the friends of the Georgia Bridal Show a little bit better. First up, our long time exhibitor and supporter of our show, SE Events.
When did you launch your business?
Spectrum Entertainment & Events started way back in 1989!
What parts of Georgia do you focus on?
We service all of Metro Atlanta & OTP, North GA, Athens, & Macon
Whats the story of how and when you decided to start your business?
In 1989, SE Events had a vision of providing award-winning entertainment & audio visual to Atlanta, Georgia and beyond! We wanted to create a team of DJ’s and Staff who understand that it takes a team effort for any event to be successful, and we take pride in that teamwork with every wedding from start to finish!
Tell us about the first job you ever did in your wedding business!
Our President, Matt Osborne’s first wedding event in our database was a reception on February 14th 1998 at Villa Christina!
What made you choose the wedding industry?
Bringing fun & joy on a special day for people is a big reason why our team chooses to work in the wedding industry!
Whats your favorite part of your job?
Being able to travel around beautiful GA and put on some really special parties; the food is pretty great also!
Whats your favorite moment of the wedding day/process?
The Reception Grand Entrance is always a fun and memorable moment and always comes with a lot of energy; it is definitely one of our favorite wedding moments!
Any great stories from working with a client?
Many! One of our DJ’s recently did a wedding a Callanwolde Fine Arts Center and during the Toasts, the Bridesmaids decided to surprise the Bride & Groom with a flash mob with over half of the guests participating! It was a very memorable moment!
Favorite color combo at weddings?
Gold & Blush
Are there any trends that you love or would love to see brides leave behind?
Please leave the Ipods at home! Any designated person to operate music for your event will provide a more sensitive touch when providing the soundtrack to your big day!
What are your hobbies outside of your business?
Vinyl Record Collecting, Attending Concerts, Attending Local Events!
How has the Georgia Bridal Show helped your business?
We wouldn’t be the same company if it wasn’t for the Georgia Bridal Show! They help us reach clients who are looking for a great experience and we look forward to exhibiting with them every year!
How long have you been exhibiting at the Georgia Bridal Show?
The first Georgia Bridal Show event in our database is January, 4th, 2004, but we been doing events with the GBS much longer than that!
What tips/advice can you give to couples who are in the midst of planning?
Make sure to visit the Georgia Bridal Show! It really is the best resource for finding quality vendors, and is also great for getting ideas when planning out your big day.
